Vin Diesel has been behind the wheel of many different cars during his run on the Fast and the Furious movie franchise, but thanks to the artist BossLogic, fans can now see what the action star would look like in the time-traveling DeLorean from the Back to the Future movies. The new piece of artwork was created around the same time that it was announced Jason Momoa will be joining the cast for the tenth film in the Fast franchise, which will be heading into cinemas in 2023. Considering the Fast team has already been to space, then would it be so out there for them to do a spot of time traveling in their penultimate outing?

Along with the image, the Spanish artist added the caption, “The team travel back in time before the big bang to discover the true source of speed, only to run into Barry Allen, he warns Dom that you can't bring your father back, there are world changing consequence, Dom whispered 'Time is family' saves his father. Fast Point Paradox.”

From the comment accompanying the image, this clearly has an additional franchise crossover in mind with the mention of DC’s The Flash hero Barry Allen in the mix. While this would be some kind of fanboy dream for a select group, it is ultimately unlikely that the Fast series will be heading back into the past, as among the spectacular car stunts that defy belief, it is always possible to push that into being so ridiculously over the top that even the most diehard fans balk at it. As this is not the way Vin Diesel or any of the team will want the series to be remembered, we will probably see something more grounded in reality in the newest addition to the franchise.

Following the success of F9 during the pandemic, it was always inevitable that the Fast series would not be ending there, but it was announced soon after the movie’s release that there would be two more movies made and that would complete the story of the flagship movie series. Whether we will see other spin-off movies or possibly TV shows, in the same vein as the Hobbs and Shaw movie, is something we will need to wait and see. Previously, Vin Diesel hinted at the plan for the final runs of the Fast franchise in an interview with ComicBook.com, when he explained:

"It is back-to-back. The target release date is 02/23 for the first one and 02/24 for the second one. We were supposed to release this movie last year, prior to the pandemic. So I guess what's different about this release is that we're a year into development and pre-production on Fast 10. And so I'm doing these interviews and it's bizarre because I have to go back to Fast 9. I'm celebrating the release of Fast 9, but I have so much more to celebrate."

Fast and Furious 10 is expected to hit theaters on May 19th, 2023, with Fast 11 following the year after.
