Back in September, we reported that Matt Damon and director Paul Greengrass are getting back together for Bourne 5. In a new interview with E! Online, Matt Damon's longtime friend Ben Affleck confirmed that production will begin next fall on this new Bourne adventure.

"Well, [Damon's] going to be doing a Bourne movie next fall when I've just completely lost any semblance of physical fitness. So..."

Matt Damon himself clarified that shooting will begin next year, with a 2016 release date already set.

"Yes, next year. It'll be in 2016 when the movie will actually come out. [Director] Paul Greengrass is going to do another one and that's all I ever said. I just needed him to say yes."

The new Bourne movie will likely take the July 15, 2016 release date that Universal previously handed out to The Bourne Legacy sequel, where Jeremy Renner will reprise his role as Aaron Cross. It isn't known when that project may be released.
