Brad Pitt might be adding a little bit of the national pastime onto his growing schedule. According to Variety, Steve Zallian will adapt Michael Lewis' non-fiction bestseller, Moneyball: The Art of Winning an Unfair Game for Columbia Pictures. The film is being developed as another potential starring vehicle for Brad Pitt.

The book, which was first published in 2003, deals with the exploits of Oakland A's general manager Billy Beane, who put together winning teams based off an unusual computer analysis when drafting players.

David Frankel (The Devil Wears Prada will direct the adaptation. No production schedule was announced.
