Bradley Cooper is in talks to star in The Weinstein Company's The Silver Linings Playbook, replacing Mark Wahlberg, who is parting from the project due to a scheduling conflict.

Robert De Niro is also in talks to join the film.

David O. Russell will direct the film, which is an adaptation of the Matthew Quick novel.

Bradley Cooper was attached to the film last year. Jennifer Lawrence will play the female lead role.
