Warner Bros. has acquired the James Renner novel The Man From Primrose Lane as a starring vehicle for Oscar nominee Bradley Cooper (Silver Linings Playbook).

The story follows a true-crime writer named David Neff (Bradley Cooper), who is investigating the death of a recluse known as "the man with one thousand mittens." This leads him to become obsessed with another string of murders, where he discovers his own connection to the crimes. The author realizes that, in order to catch the killer and stop this endless cycle of murder, he must challenge what is known to be true about time and space.

Southland writer Chad Feehan is penning the screenplay adaptation, with Bradley Cooper also producing alongside Kevin McCormick. No production schedule was given.

The novel by James Renner is the first in a planned series, with at least two sequels in the works.
