Bradley Cooper has signed on to star in an upcoming English language remake of Til Schweiger's German comedy Kokowaah. He is also eyeing the film as his directorial debut, but that hasn't been confirmed.

The film tells the story of two men, bachelor Henry and devoted husband Trevor, who are forced to reanalyze their lives after finding out the truth behind the paternity of Trevor's young daughter Maddy.

Bradley Cooper is producing alongside 22nd & Indiana's Sheroum Kim. The actor was recently nominated for an Academy Award for his role in David O. Russell's Silver Linings Playbook.

Scott Rothman and Rajiv Joseph re-wrote the script, which was originally drafted by Chris Shafer and Paul Vicknair.

No production schedule has been released.
