Bret "The Hitman" Hart is now officially inducted into Canada's Walk of Fame, and he had an old pal from his pro wrestling days coming out to help honor him on the occasion. During the ceremony, Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson made a surprise appearance in a video paying tribute to Hart and thanking the wrestling legend for being there for him as a mentor. When the Canada's Walk of Fame account thanked Johnson for the cameo on Twitter, The Rock responded and reiterated how much appreciation he has for Hart.

"My pleasure, Bret Hart was a mentor to me when he didn’t have to be and in our wild and intense world of pro wrestling, there weren’t many 'mentorship programs' back then," Johnson tweeted. "He gave me guidance and I’ll always be grateful. Congrats my friend on your incredible accomplishment."

On Instagram, Hart posted a photo of himself holding the award he received during the ceremony. He also thanked The Rock for his kind words along with fellow wrestling legend Chris Jericho for doing the same. As Hart said, "I know you both are busy men, and I greatly appreciate that you did that for me."

"While sadly this was cut out of my speech due to time constraints, I do want to say thank you to each and every wrestler I ever worked with," he added. "Thank you to the many Canadian wrestlers that paved the way for me: my father Stu, Gene Kiniski, Abdullah the Butcher, 'Killer' Kowalski, 'The Stomper,' Ed Carpentier, 'Whipper' Watson, Sky Low Low, Rocky Johnson, Pat Patterson, Roddy Piper. To the many other Canadian wrestlers, some that filled my shoes after my career ended, that someday will deserve this same honour: Chris Jericho, Edge, Trish Stratus, Kevin Owens, Kenny Omega, my niece Natalya, my brother Owen, and so many more."

This isn't even the first time this year The Rock has shown his love for Bret Hart. While promoting the release of Jungle Cruise, the "People's Champ" noticed that a journalist he was speaking with was wearing a Hitman shirt. Johnson then told co-star Emily Blunt about Bret and how important he was, stressing that Hart showed a young Rock kindness at a time when he didn't need to be, and many other wrestlers in that same position wouldn't have been.

"The T-shirt he's wearing is a guy who didn't have to be, but he was so good to me when I was a rookie professional wrestler, and his name is Bret 'The Hitman' Hart," Johnson tells Blunt. "At that time, he was world champion, and there were a lot of guys in that world at that time, in '96, that didn't necessarily embrace me, because everyone is hungry for their spots, and there's a lot of sharks in the water. But, that guy, Bret, and he was World Champion, to show me how it's done. I think because he knew that our families knew each other and that I came from a lineage of pro wrestling, and that I had a real love and respect for wrestling. And he was just a great guy, and I always like to give him props when I can."

Congratulations to Bret "The Hitman" Hart on his induction into Canada's Walk of Fame.
