Ever since Kevin Greutert's departure from directing Paranormal Activity 2 last month, not much has been said about who will take his place, until now. The Los Angeles Times is reporting that Paramount is considering three directors for the film, and one of them is the legendary Brian De Palma.

Brad Anderson (Transsiberian) and Greg McLean (Wolf Creek) are the other two directors in the running and it was said that writer/producer Akiva Goldsman was once in the running to sit in the director's chair.

It was also said that the script is still being worked on at this time and, despite the script work and no new cast or directors, the film is still slated for an October 22 release date.
