Good gravy, we got some more Russell Crowe news! This time, it revolves around his film Nottingham. According to The Hollywood Reporter, famed writer-director Brian Helgeland is being brought in to rewrite the updated Robin Hood flick.

In this revised take on an old classic, Crowe stars as the Sheriff of Nottingham. This time, instead of being the bad guy, the sheriff is a noble lawman who falls for Maid Marion, and then must fight Robin Hood for her hand in marriage.

Universal is planning to shoot the picture early next year. Hopefully Helgeland can tweak the script in all the right places. He did wonders for Mystic River. Heck, he even won an Oscar for that one.
