According to The Hollywood Reporter, Brian Levant has landed on New Line Cinema's planet and will direct the family film Planet Terry. Neal Moritz is producing via his Original Film banner.

Planet tells the story of a science fiction enthusiast who finds out that he is actually an alien who has been placed on Earth as part of an intergalactic witness protection program.

Cinco Paul and Ken Daurio wrote the screenplay, which is based on an unpublished comic book by Rob Liefeld.
