Step Up 2 the Streets' Briana Evigan has landed the lead role in Sobini Films' tiger-run-amok thriller Burning Bright, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Evigan will play a woman who wakes in the midst of a hurricane to find a tiger roaming through her home. With her stepfather nowhere to be found, she is forced to drag her autistic young brother through the house in a desperate attempt at survival.

Carlos Brooks will direct for producers Mark Amin and Cami Winikoff of Sobini and David Higgins ("Hard Candy") of Launchpad Prods.

Higgins also wrote the story for Burning Bright, which begins shooting July 14 in Florida.
