Collaborating for the first time since 2004's The Terminal, director Steven Spielberg and actor Tom Hanks are back together for the Cold War thriller Bridge of Spies. The film promises to kick off Awards Season in true fashion when it arrives this fall. In anticipation of this awaited release, DreamWorks Pictures and Fox 2000 Pictures have released the first trailer.

A dramatic thriller set against the backdrop of a series of historic events, Bridge of Spies is the story of James Donovan (Tom Hanks), a Brooklyn insurance claims lawyer who finds himself thrust into the center of the Cold War. Wanted by his country for a mission he can't quite comprehend, the CIA sends him on the near-impossible task to negotiate the release of a captured American U-2 pilot. Will he be able to complete his journey and bring the man safely back home?

Bridge of Spies marks the fourth time Steven Spielberg and Tom Hanks have worked together, starting with 1998's Saving Private Ryan and including Catch Me If You Can in 2002 and The Terminal in 2004. The pair first collaborated on Joe Versus the Volcano, which Steven Spielberg served on as an executive producer. The Bridge of Spies cast also includes Mark Rylance, Amy Ryan, Alan Alda and Billy Magnussen. The screenplay is by Matt Charman and Ethan Coen & Joel Coen.
