Working Title Films has greenlit Bridget Jones 3, reports Entertainment Weekly.

Bridget Jones's Diary was released in 2001 and Bridget Jones: The Edge of Reason was released in 2004. The third film has yet to be titled.

Last year, Bridget Jones co-star Colin Firth discussed a possible plot:

"I can tell you that Bridget and Mark can't have children, I think that's the way it goes on," Colin Firth told Access Hollywood. "So then she makes the huge mistake of going back to Daniel Cleaver [Hugh Grant's character] for long enough to get pregnant. And I think he dumps her, and she's left stranded, and guess who comes back to rescue her?"

Based on the best-selling book by Helen Fielding, the comedies chronicle the life of a single, 30-something British woman (Renée Zellweger) as she struggles with men, her weight, and her work.

No production date has been set.
