If there is one thing that social media is good for, it’s allowing actors to share plenty of videos of their movie training regimes. In the last year Dwayne Johnson, Chris Hemsworth and Natalie Portman have all shared some of the intense workouts that have helped them get in shape for their upcoming comic book movies Black Adam and Thor: Love and Thunder. Another superhero returning soon is Captain Marvel and star Brie Larson has also been flexing her muscles on Twitter in an impressive display that sees her performing five chin-ups while she noted that there are “no holidays for training.”

Larson will reprise her role as Carol Danvers in the upcoming movie The Marvels, which sees her teaming up with teenage hero Ms. Marvel, played by Iman Vellani, and WandaVision’s Monica Rambeau, once again played by Teyonah Parris, to take on a yet to be disclosed villain played by Zawe Ashton. Having made a brief appearance in the post credit scene of Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, fans of Larson are looking forward to seeing her kicking more intergalactic butt in February 2023.

It was reported last month that The Marvels had wrapped filming, but that doesn’t mean that the hard work is over for the actress as Marvel’s movies are well known for having various reshoots a few months down the line, and for that Larson needs to keep herself in shape. With the film still over a year away, there is a lot of time for additional scenes or other pick-ups that will help keep the MCU connected and moving forward like a well-oiled machine.

This is not the first time that the star has shared her workouts with her fans. Back in October, Larson shared a video showing her performing a series of push-ups while on a break from filming, and it is likely that she will continue to share more of her personal routines in the future when she finds the time. As one of the more active Marvel stars on social media, Larson is frequently inviting her followers into her personal life, and spent a bit of time sharing some of her favorite things, daily routines and more during the summer before filming on The Marvels began taking up most of her time. With filming currently done, it is likely we will see more of the star on her YouTube channel until duty calls once more.

There are still three MCU movies and a number of TV shows, including the Ms. Marvel series that will introduce Kamala Khan/ Ms. Marvel to the franchise, to arrive before we see the full return of Captain Marvel, but that doesn’t mean we won’t see her again in either an upcoming post-credit scene or even as a cameo or more in Ms. Marvel considering the series will directly link to the sequel to Carol Danvers’ 2019 debut. With nothing known about the plot of the movie so far, it will likely be towards the end of 2022 before we get a reasonable idea about what lies in store for the three heroines in The Marvels.
