The Fast and Furious franchise has been deep in production of its 10th movie since April, and since filming began a number of new cast members have joined the franchise including Jason Momoa and Brie Larson. While both characters have been seen in a number of behind the scenes images, Larson has recently shared a new image that has revealed her character’s name in Fast X.
There has been a lot of secrecy about the penultimate movie in the Fast franchise, and that means there is not much known about Larson’s involvement in the film or whether she will also be returning for the next movie. However, it looks like her shared photos on Twitter suggest that the time may be right for the Captain Marvel actress and her co-stars to begin sharing a few more details about the movie – even if it is just something as simple as a name reveal. Fast X has seen a few changes to the production, with director Justin Lin leaving just after the start of filming due to a rumored falling out with Vin Diesel and Louis Leterrier was quickly brought in to take over helming the movie. However, the production seems to have gone smoothly after that, and is certainly on course to hit its slated release date of May 19, 2023.
Brie Larson Will Soon Be Back As Captain Marvel
Joining the Fast franchise means that Brie Larson will be part of two of 2023’s biggest movies, with her return as Captain Marvel in The Marvels also hitting cinemas next summer. Originally scheduled for release early in 2023, the Captain Marvel sequel was delayed, seemingly due to delays in the connected Secret Invasion TV series, and now is released in July 2023. Larson recently appeared at Disney’s D23 Expo to talk a little about her upcoming sequel, which sees her teaming up with Kamala Khan aka Ms Marvel and Monica Rambeau, who was last seen getting her own cosmic powers in WandaVision.
While there is still a lot unknown about the new sequel, it was revealed that one of the biggest plot points will see the three heroines inadvertently swapping places with each other when they use their powers, which could potentially put any of them in great danger. While there has been little else revealed about the plot, it is almost a year before the film arrives in cinemas to take its place in the MCU, so we shouldn’t’ expect to see a trailer of The Marvels until well into 2023.
All in all, Larson seems set to have a busy year next year, and even though there are plenty of online trolls who have attacked the actress for her Captain Marvel role, her first movie was a huge billion dollar blockbuster, so it is likely that Marvel Studios will be happy to have her for as long as she wants the role. With plenty of fans out there, Larson is certainly ready to give them plenty more appearances in the coming years.
