Back in 2013, Dan Goor and Michael Schur, two of the masterminds behind Parks and Recreation, teamed up again to come up with a groundbreaking new series: Brooklyn Nine-Nine. Over the course of its eight seasons, this police comedy series follows Jake Peralta, a New York Police Department detective who, although successful at his job, tends to clash with his commanding officer, Captain Raymond Holt, over his careless and immature attitude. Of course, Jake's other co-workers also lack the attitude you would expect from detectives, which leads to the most bizarre and hilarious moments.

Brooklyn Nine-Nine originally aired on Fox, until the network canceled the series after its fifth season wrapped up. Thankfully, NBC quickly stepped in and saved the day, enabling the series to stay on the air for another three seasons, before concluding with one of the best finales in the history of sitcoms. The show was a smash hit with both audiences and critics and garnered a slew of nominations and awards over the course of its run.

The show wouldn't have been half the success it was if it wasn't for the efforts of its talented cast, all of whom have enjoyed interesting careers outside the series. With Brooklyn Nine-Nine having been off-air for over two years now, here's a look at what the cast has been up to since it came to an end.

Andy Samberg

Comedian, actor, producer, and writer Andy Samberg came to wider attention when he began starring as Jake Peralta, Brooklyn Nine-Nine's immature yet resourceful lead detective. Prior to his time on the show, Samberg was best known as one of the cast members of Saturday Night Live, as well as being one-third of the comedy music group, The Lonely Island.

While starring in the series, Samberg appeared in films such as Palm Springs and Popstar: Never Stop Never Stopping, and also lent his voice to a number of animated characters, including Johnny from the Hotel Transylvania franchise. His most recent projects include the 2023 comedy thriller, Self Reliance, in which he plays a fictionalized version of himself alongside Jake Johnson and Anna Kendrick.

Additionally, Samberg voiced the character of Ben Reilly/Scarlet Spider in the animated superhero sequel, Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, co-hosted the Peacock baking competition show, Baking It, alongside Maya Rudolph, and co-created and starred in the animated sitcom, Digman! on Comedy Central. The actor was also one of several well-known names to make cameos in the 2023 comedy, Good Burger 2.

Andre Braugher

Andre Braugher starred as Raymond Holt, NYPD's first Black, gay police captain, a role that earned the actor two Critics Choice Television Awards. However, prior to his work on the show, Braugher was best known for his role as Detective Frank Pembleton in a different police series; Homicide: Life on the Street. As well as his TV roles, Braugher also boasts an extensive career in film, having played parts in movies such as City of Angels, Primal Fear, and Poseidon.

In 2022, the actor lent his voice to narrate the episode "Flood in the Desert" of the TV show American Experience, joined the cast of the legal drama The Good Fight for its upcoming season, and starred in the 2022 movie, She Said, alongside Carey Mulligan and Patricia Clarkson.

Before taking on her most famous role, Beatriz appeared in several guest and recurring roles in shows such as Southland, Hello Ladies, and, most notably, Modern Family, where she played the sister of Sofia Vergara's character.

Fumero has only expanded her resume since the last season of Brooklyn Nine-Nine concluded.
