In a story from Risky Business Blog, action icon Bruce Willis, who recently turned 54, is currently eyeing the starring role in Red, a WildStorm/DC Comic.

Summit Entertainment will be making the film.

Red sees Willis as an ex-black-ops agent who comes back into action when a high-tech assassin comes after him and the woman he loves. Lorenzo di Bonaventura and Mark Vahradian are producing. Writing the screenplay are Erich and Jon Hoeber.

Currently Willis and Co. are negotiating with Summit regarding the role. Richard Donner could be directing.

He is also looking at a thriller with NuImage/Millennium titled Inventory, and the underworld biopic Scarpa for Morgan Creek.

Inventory would see Willis' character as a detective going after a killer.

Lastly, the actor is circling Morgan Creek's Scarpa. Directed by Antoine Fuqua (Training Day), that film looks at the life of Greg Scarpa. He was an FBI informant who went undercover in New York's Columbo family.
