Bryan Cranston and Allison Janney are two actors of exceptional acclaim who have long since established profoundly strong and diversified careers in the industry, and they are by no means slowing down anytime soon. In fact, they're about to unite on a new upcoming feature project that is undeniably lucky to have them both. Per The Hollywood Reporter, Cranston and Janney are set to be lead stars in the new drama titled Everything's Going to Be Great, which has since been greenlit for Entertainment One and Astute.

Everything's Going to Be Great is being helmed by Jon S. Baird, who previously directed the recent Apple TV+ biography Tetris (2023). Steven Rogers is writing the script for the film and co-producing alongside Bryan Unkeless and Scott Morgan. The three of them previously collaborated on the award-winning biopic film I, Tonya (2017), which saw Margot Robbie tackle the role of exceptionally talented and controversial figure skater Tonya Harding.

Allison Janney, who played Harding's ruthless and abusive mother LaVona Golden in the film, swept the entire awards circuit with her outstanding performance. She'll be starring alongside Bryan Cranston in Baird's new film, who also has long since captivated audiences everywhere with his almost otherworldly acting talents, most notably of course in AMC's untouchable cartel drama thriller Breaking Bad. Other stars announced for the project include Benjamin Evan Ainsworth (The Sandman) and Jack Champion (Avatar: The Way of Water). Production has since started in Toronto.

Not many details have been given about the premise of the film, but it will focus on the Smart family who move from state to state performing in regional theater, all while coping with loss and struggling with identity.

While Bryan Cranston has still been consistently working since his days on the monumental series Breaking Bad, he's been progressively returning to the mainstream lately with two small appearances as the infamous Walter White during the final season of Vince Gilligan's award-winning spin-off Better Call Saul. He also starred as a judge in another drama series on Showtime called Your Honor and a comedy-drama film alongside Annette Benning called Jerry and Marge Go Large (2022). He's also set to appear in two other upcoming features, including Wes Anderson's Asteroid City which is coming to theaters this June, and Matthew Vaughn's spy film Argylle.

Meanwhile, AllisonJanney has since kept herself plenty busy as well. Since her role in I, Tonya as the caustic LaVona Golden which won her an avalanche of best actress awards, she's gone on to appear in a variety of films like psychological thriller Ma (2019) which starred Octavia Spencer, Janney's former co-star in period comedy-drama film The Help (2011). Janney also starred alongside Hugh Jackman in HBO's Bad Education (2019) and last year in J.J. Abram's thriller Lou (2022). Along with Baird's new project, she also has a sci-fi film in the works called True Love being directed by Gareth Edwards, and a comedy hilariously titled The People We Hate at the Wedding.
