Even though writer Frank Darabont's script still isn't completed yet, Warner Bros. and Legendary Entertainment are assembling the cast for Godzilla. Bryan Cranston and Elizabeth Olsen are entering into early negotiations to star, along with Aaron Johnson. We reported last month that Aaron Johnson was being eyed for the male lead.

Insiders claim that no deals will be finalized until the completed screenplay has been turned in. However, we reported in December that production will begin in Vancouver next month. The studio wants to get talks started with their leads in order for shooting to start on time. No character details or plot information has been released yet.

Gareth Edwards is directing, with Legendary Entertainment's Thomas Tull, Jon Jashni, and Mary Parent producing.
