Last week, Mark Strong hinted that he may have the Lex Luthor role in Man of Steel 2. Though, at the same time, another rumor surfaced that Breaking Bad star Bryan Cranston was in contention for the villain character.

When asked about the possibility of playing the bald villain in this highly-anticipated sequel, Bryan Cranston revealed he is definitely interested in the part.

"Give me a call. I like Lex Luthor. I think he's misunderstood. He's a loveable, sweet man."

Of course, Bryan Cranston's Walter White sports the bald look for much of Breaking Bad's five-season run, which also proved the former Malcolm in the Middle star had the chops to pull off incredibly menacing and villainous scenes as the former high school teacher-turned meth cook. It may be some time before we know who exactly is playing Lex Luthor in Man of Steel 2, so stay tuned.

Zack Snyder is directing the sequel from a script by David S. Goyer, which was revealed at Comic-Con 2013 to feature both Superman (Henry Cavill) and Batman, who has yet to be cast.
