As our /exclusive-buffy-the-vampire-slayer-wants-heather-morris-as-buffy/news that Heather Morris may or may not take on the central character in the big screen reboot of Buffy the Vampire Slayer continues to makes its way around the net, a former Buffy cast member has come forward to call the remake a mistake. Here is what Nicholas Brendon (aka Xander Harris) told E! Online in regards to his thoughts on Warner Bros. bringing Buffy out of retirement:

"I hope their vampires don't glitter. You know, listen...I think it's a mistake, I think that it's trying to kind of-they have to reach a whole completely new fanbase. And we already have that fanbase. So it's going to really be hard to kind of do that. But you know, everyone: They remade The Flintstones. Twice, I think."

At this time, there is no indication that any former Buffy cast member will be making an appearance in the new movie. It certainly seems that Nicholas Brendon isn't up for the idea.
