A few weeks ago we exclusively reported that Glee star Heather Morris was being considered to star in the Buffy the Vampire Slayer reboot. While the rumor was "shot down" a few days later, Heather Morris herself has revealed to Access Hollywood that she actually is being considered to star in the new Buffy the Vampire Slayer:
"They're considering me! I found out and I almost peed my pants 'cause I was so excited!"
Screenwriter Whit Anderson responded via her Twitter account with this remark last week:
"We're not even *thinking* about casting yet. The script isn't even written!"
However, that tweet was quickly deleted from her account, adding further speculation about what is really going on. Apparently the woman didn't realize that Dolly Parton really does own half of Sandollar Productions, which reverted the franchise rights back to Warner Bros. to make this reboot possible (that bit of information was /buffy-the-vampire-slayer-headed-back-to-the-big-screen/confirmed in the original PR that was sent out announcing the project weeks ago).
"If they make [Buffy] when [Glee] is on hiatus, I don't even care what I do. I can just run through the shot and do nothing - even if I'm not Buffy!"
We'll be sure to keep you posted with any further details on this Buffy the Vampire Slayer casting saga as soon as we have more information.
