This Means War: According to The Hollywood Reporter, Following Igby Goes Down and How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days, Burr Steers means war. The multihyphenate has been tapped to rewrite and develop This Means War the long-gestating action-adventure comedy for the Robert Simonds Co./Fox. Fox first acquired the Marcus Gautesen spec in 1998 when the Firm's Jeff Kwatinez and Michael Green were due to produce with client Martin Lawrence set to star.

The pitch revolved around two best friends who both fall in love with the same woman and then wreak havoc on Manhattan. Over the years, "War" has had myriad writers attached. Steers began his career as an actor with credits including such films as "Pulp Fiction" and "The Last Days of Disco." He wrote the screenplay to "Lose" and wrote and directed "Igby." Steers is repped by WMA, Anonymous Content and attorney Karl Austen.
