Call of Duty Online was developed specifically for China, where console video games had been banned until 2013. It is a micro-transaction based version of the extremely popular franchise title, and it is expected to be huge when it launches on January 11. The game itself has been in development for a number of years, and will be free to play for China-based gaming enthusiasts. Call of Duty Online allow for customization of avatars and weapons, and includes elements and characters from Modern Warfare, Ghosts and Advanced Warefare.
