The Canadian version of MTV's Jersey Shore, titled Lake Shore has released a "sizzle reel", and in doing so, raised the bar on ethno-centric obnoxiousness, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Lake Shore takes eight partygoers of various backgrounds and puts them in a house in Toronto. Instead of nicknames based on personality, they're based on ethnicity -- "The Turk," "The Albanian", "The Pole", etc.

The result is that racial differences are front and center in a way you just don't see very often on American TV, which tends to be skittish with such discussion in general.

But what remains to be seen is if the cast of the Canadian version could forge a family-like relationship, or is it going to be like a bunch of obnoxious Angelinas?
