The Hills Have Eyes 2 director Martin Weisz is gearing up to adapt Capcom's popular survival horror game Clock Tower for the big screen. According to Variety, the Weinstein Company is producing the film, which will be written by Borderland's Eric Poppen.

The plot of the game finds a woman stranded without weapons in a land dominated by monsters. The player must use her surroundings to hide and escape while solving puzzles. The actual film will use elements from all three versions of the video game that are currently on the market. But the main story will be based on Clock Tower 2: The Struggle Within, which finds the heroine trapped inside a psychiatric hospital.

The film begins shooting this July.
