Sebastian Stan, who played Steve Rogers' best friend Bucky Barnes in 2011's Captain America: The First Avenger and is transformed into the villainous Winter Soldier in next month's Captain America: The Winter Soldier, revealed in an interview with NewsaRama that he actually has a nine-picture deal in place with Marvel Studios. Here's what he had to say, when asked how large his deal with Marvel is.

"I think I actually have nine."

This revelation comes as somewhat of a surprise, since Chris Evans revealed earlier this week that he has three movies left of his original six-picture deal. While it's possible that he could sign a new deal for more movies, the actor hinted in another interview earlier this month that he is considering taking a break from acting after his Marvel deal expires, to pursue a career in directing. He has already shot his directorial debut, Before We Go, where he also co-stars alongside Alice Eve.

Of course, this revelation leads many to wonder if Marvel plans on having Bucky Barnes transition into Captain America, like his character did in the comic books. Marvel hasn't confirmed whether or not they plan on going this route, but our report from earlier this week regarding the end credit sequences in Captain America: The Winter Soldier make it clear that Marvel definitely plans on bringing this character back into the fold.

Where else could Bucky pop up? Captain America 3 is in the works, with Captain America: The Winter Soldier directors Joe Russo and Anthony Russo already confirmed to direct. The filmmakers also revealed this week that they are currently working on the story with screenwriters Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely. Even if Bucky does come back in Captain America 3, that still leaves six more movies left in the deal. We'll have to wait and see what the future holds for Sebastian Stan's Bucky Barnes.
