Back in November, we reported that /captain-america-3-civil-war-villain-daniel-bruhl/actor Daniel Brühl has been cast in Marvel's upcoming Phase Three sequel Captain America: Civil War. While his exact role was never confirmed, rumors started almost immediately that he is actually playing the villainous Baron Helmut Zemo. With production starting later this month in Atlanta, Daniel Brühl has finally confirmed that he is playing Baron Zemo. Here's what he had to say in a recent interview.

"I think I can tell you that without being thrown into Marvel prison. For the first few days I'll walk around like a little boy, just amazed by the megalomania of it. It's such a huge project. We could do 20 films with the budget."

Daniel Brühl joins a cast that also includes Chris Evans (Captain America), Robert Downey Jr. (Iron Man), Frank Grillo (Crossbones), Chadwick Boseman (Black Panther), Scarlett Johansson (Black Widow), Jeremy Renner (Hawkeye), Anthony Mackie (Falcon), Sebastian Stan (Winter Soldier) and Elizabeth Olsen (Scarlet Witch). Captain America: The Winter Soldier directors Anthony Russo and Joe Russo return to the helm, working from a script by Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely. In related news, Frank Grillo sent out a tweet earlier today where he teased his Crossbones role, as the production start date gets closer and closer.
