Are you ready for Black Widow to get a makeover? Seems Marvel might be! Actress Scarlett Johansson was spotted away from the Captain America: Civil War set sporting a new hairdo that she tried very hard to hide. An actress with a different hair style wouldn't normally be anything new to report, but the shorn hair is still dyed Black Widow red, a color Scarlett Johansson doesn't usually keep when out of character. Is Natasha Romanova getting a drastic new look?

Since her debut on the big screen in 2010's Iron Man 2, Black Widow has altered her appearance in both hair and suit in each following movie, with Scarlett Johansson showing up in 2012's Marvel's The Avengers, 2014's Captain America: The Winter Soldier, and this year's Avengers: Age of Ultron. And her hair has gradually gotten shooter with each new adventure. But the 'pixie' cut, which is buzzed close to the scalp, will certainly give Natasha a striking change that we haven't ever seen on the character. Is she being prepared for some sort of experiement? Or was that long hair getting in the way of her mid-air somersaults? Perhaps she is depressed about the disappearance of her romantic love interest Bruce Banner, and gave herself a makeover to lift her spirits?

Captain America: Civil War is still shooting in Atlanta, with Tom Holland said to be in full-on Spider-Man mode. Scarlett Johansson was on a break from shooting, but it looks like she is set to return with a brand new look. Earlier this year, the actress was spotted shooting scenes on a motorcycle, where we got to see here in civilian clothes. For those outside scenes, she was sporting full Natasha hair. So it appears that, if this cut is for the movie, she will undergo some sort of transformation midway through the story. Or there could be a time jump from the opening action scene, to further on in the time of the Sokovia Accords, which are mentioned in the Ant-Man post-credit scene and appear to take the place of the comic book's Superhero Registration Act.

Comic book fans will already now that Black Widow does sport a short pixie hairdo during Frank Miller's run on Daredevil. So this change of appearance isn't such a drastic departure from the source material. And hey, maybe it's a hint that Charlie Cox's Matt Murdock from Netflix's Marvel's Daredevil is showing up. An earlier rumor claimed that Marvel's TV characters wouldn't be showing up on the big screen anytime soon, but what do rumors know?

Captain America: Civil War picks up where Avengers: Age of Ultron left off, as Steve Rogers leads the new team of Avengers in their continued efforts to safeguard humanity. After another international incident involving the Avengers results in collateral damage, political pressure mounts to install a system of accountability and a governing body to determine when to enlist the services of the team. The new status quo fractures the Avengers while they try to protect the world from a new and nefarious villain. Take a look at Scarlett Johansson attempting to conceal her new look. We also offer a look at Black Widow with her Frank Miller do, and a look at Scarlett Johansson seen on set early during shooting.
