When Captain America: Civil War began reshoots earlier this year, most assumed nothing substantial was being added back into the completed movie. That it was mostly pick-up shots and scene extensions. That's not entirely true. Empire Magazine has an extensive cover story write-up on the sequel. And it reveals that a fan-favorite character was brought back in at the last minute. And it's someone most Marvel fans will be very happy about.

Yes, Gwyneth Paltrow's Pepper Potts will live again! She is getting a few new scenes in Captain America: Civil War after originally being left out of the original story drafts. Test audiences questioned her whereabouts. Now, general audiences will need to wonder no more. It is also reported that early screenings have divided audiences as much as it has divided the Avengers. Fans have been torn between choosing a side. Some simply can't make up their mind, should they root for #TeamCap or #TeamIronMan. And it's believed that this debate will help promote the movie as it gears up for its summer release date.

Captain America: Civil War is going to be one of the most ambitious Marvel movies ever. And it is bringing in all of the previously established MCU characters with the exception of Thor and the Hulk (they're getting they're own cosmic road trip adventure in Thor: Ragnarok in 2017). So, with Pepper Potts added to the mix, rest assured, this is going to be a very crowded affair. And it's one that will forever change the Marvel Cinematic Universe as we know it. This movie is going to be HUGE, and there will be consequences for all involved that will reverberate throughout the entire Phase 3 lineup. Says co-director Joe Russo.

"The consequences of Civil War will have an even more significant impact [than The Winter Soldier]. In Civil War, we're going to change the Marvel Cinematic Universe's Psychology, and it's an extreme shift. Winter Soldier was a political thriller; this is a psychological thriller."

The director went onto say that the movie will have a 'very dramatic ending'. It will be one that divides audiences, and causes quite a bit of controversy. It is promised that the climactic and shocking ending will pave the way for Thanos' return in Avengers: Infinity War Part I. Here's what co-writer Stephen McFeely had to say about writing the upcoming Infinity War Two-Parter.

"We've written three movies about a pretty stoic guy, and now we get to write for all the gang. But Civil War was a walk in the park compared to these other two. We're writing scenes for characters that haven't been cast yet..."

We're not sure which characters he is referring to that haven't been cast, but it sounds like the Avengers: Infinity War saga will introduced never-before-seen Marvel characters, which is exciting. Captain America: Civil War will directly connect, and be continued in Infinity War. Says Russo.

"We wanted Winter Soldier, Civil War, and the Infinity War films to have a strong through line. We look at this movie as setting the stage for Infinity War, how it starts and what condition everybody is in."

Who will Avengers: Infinity War introduce? Which iconic Marvel characters will die? Where will the MCU stand when the dust clears for Phase 4? These are all fun questions to debate as we gear up for the first of several new adventures with Captain America: Civil War. The Marvel movie universe is changing in strange and unique, even shocking ways. How do you feel moving forward? Are you as excited as ever?
