The Daily Mail has snapped the first photographs of the Captain America: The First Avenger costume, which can be seen below.

The full costume was spotted on a stunt double for Chris Evans riding a US Army Indian motorcycle through the English countryside for a motorbike sequence involving a chase between Steve Rogers and agents of H.Y.D.R.A.

True to the original character, the costume comprised the colours of the American flag, complete with a huge star on the chest, helmet and cape.
