In the first episode of Hawkeye, the newest MCU Disney+ series, Clint Barton (Jeremy Renner) attends a brand-new Broadway musical based on the Battle of New York that took place in The Avengers. The show is titled Rogers: The Musical, and although the one song we do get to hear is pretty catchy, some of the scenes seem to be a little twisted from the real events that took place. Regardless, the musical feels authentic and ultimately begs the question: who could play Captain America in a real life Broadway version of Rogers: The Musical? Here are our choices!

8 Andrew GarfieldAndrew Garfield

With Andrew Garfield already being tied to Marvel with The Amazing Spider-Man films, it doesn't seem too far-fetched to see him teaming up with them again and taking on the Captain America role in a real-life Rogers: The Musical. Garfield is well seasononed on how to play the superhero role well, and already has experience in a World War II film (Hacksaw Ridge), assuming some of the musical would be detailing Rogers' early life. Most recently, the world found out Garfield could dance and sing extremely well, as he learned and showed in Lin Manuel Miranda's Tick, Tick...BOOM!.

7 Leslie Odom Jr.Leslie Odom Jr.

Leslie Odom Jr. probably has the best pure singing voice of any of these choices, displaying it in full as Aaron Burr in Lin Manuel Miranda's Hamilton. The Grammy Award-winning singer is also known to bring some serious acting chops to the table, being nominated for his first Oscar in 2020 for a supporting role in One Night in Miami.... Odom has let slip that he's auditioned for various MCU roles in the past, so seeing him take up a familiar place on Broadway for Marvel could be a nice bridge between the two.

6 Matthew Morrison

Before becoming a loved character on the hit musical show Glee, Matthew Morrison was nominated for a Tony for his work on Broadway in The Light in the Piazza. Aside from being familiar with taking the big stage on Broadway, Morrison was also nominated for both a Golden Globe and Primetime Emmy, showing he's much more than just a singer. Surprisingly, Morrison also has the look and physique down that comes close to matching what we see from Chris Evans' Captain America in the MCU.

5 Ben Platt

Though he may be better suited for the younger and less suped-up version of Captain America, Ben Platt is another one of the best pure singers of these choices. He's won multiple awards for his work in Dear Evan Hansen, including a Tony, Grammy, and Daytime Emmy. If he landed the right role, he may go on to be one of the few celebrities to be an EGOT (Emmy, Grammy, Oscar, Tony). He's definitely got the nice-guy look down, but may need to bulk up to play the first Avenger.

4 Adam PascalAdam Pascal

Adam Pascal actually has a part in the Hawkeye showing of Rogers: The Musical, taking lead vocals as "Lead New Yorker." Though he may now be a little old for the role, his voice is powerful and has a perfect register for the lead role of Steve Rogers. The Tony nominated actor has been in many Broadway musicals, including Rent, Chicago, and Pretty Woman: The Musical. Pascal has also made various film appearances, in movies like SLC Punk, School of Rock, and the film adaptation of Rent. He's about as experienced as they come when it comes to shining in the lead role.

3 Hugh Jackman

Again, while possibly a little on the older side for the role, Hugh Jackman makes up for it with his massive amount of experience and talent in both film and Broadway. Jackman already has many ties to Marvel, having portrayed the Logan/Wolverine character for almost twenty years. He's a two-time Tony winner, an Oscar nominee, has been in four Broadway shows, including the currently running Music Man, and has received high praise for his on-screen singing in both Les Miserables (2012) and The Greatest Showman.

2 Jonathan GroffJonathan Groff

Another Glee alumni, Jonathan Groff has both the traditional good looks and the talent to play Steve Rogers in a real-life Rogers: The Musical. Groff is a two-time Tony-nominated singer for his work in both Hamilton and Spring Awakening. He has previous ties with Disney, voice-acting as Kristoff in both Frozen and Frozen 2, and has upped his acting game lately, giving a particularly strong performance in David Fincher's Netflix series, Mindhunter. He also recently appeared as a supporting role in The Matrix Resurrections. He would thrive in a lead role.

1 Chris PineChris Pine

Chris Pine would probably be the most suited (no pun intended) actor to play Steve Rogers in a real-life Rogers: The Musical. He's got the natural blonde hair and blue eyes look, and plays the hero role extremely well, as we've seen when he portrayed James T. Kirk in the most recent Star Trek trilogy and Steve Trevor in Wonder Woman. Many don't know that Chris Pine has some singing chops too, playing Cinderella's Prince in the film adaptation of Into the Woods (2014). Pine also has previous musical and voice-acting ties with Marvel, doing the voice work for Peter Parker in Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, including the singing for Spider-Man's Christmas album, A Very Spidey Christmas.
