A new Captain Marvel action figure officially confirms that Carol Danvers will be shown in Binary form. Marvel Studios did not reveal that they were going back to the comics for the ability, which showcases Danvers' most intense of powers. The studio is taking a few liberties with her backstory, so some comic fans were unsure if Binary form would be used by that specific name. Thankfully, fans will get to see Danvers in all of her Binary form glory when Captain Marvel opens early next year.

With the Captain Marvel release date quickly approaching, the promotional campaign is starting to ramp up. We've already been treated to two full-length trailers and a bunch of other tie-ins, including Funko Pop and action figures. However, there are two new figures from the Legends Series that are Target and Walmart exclusives. The first of these figures is a Starforce version of Carol Danvers in her Kree uniform, which features a masked head, a regular Danvers head, and also a Minn-Erva head. This particular figure will only be available at Target stores.

The second Captain Marvel figure is called the Binary Form Figure and it's a Walmart exclusive. This is the first time that we've seen Binary form in regard to the upcoming movie, so fans should be pretty happy about that fact. The 6" figure also comes with a few different heads including the masked version with a mohawk. Carol Danvers' eyes are all lit up and she comes with different sets of hands that feature glowing energy as she prepares to take down her enemies.

When Brie Larson's Carol Danvers was shown with her glowing eyes and radiating energy in the first Captain Marvel trailer, many assumed that it was her Binary form. Marvel Studios has already changed up some of her origin story, so fans are wondering how she will gain her powers in the movie. In the comics, her transformation began when she was experimented on by the Brood, who are an alien species. The Brood wanted to utilize her genetic structure for their gain, but they inadvertently unlocked her true powers, which make her the most powerful characters in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

It will be interesting to see how the MCU handles Carol Danvers' origin story in Captain Marvel. In addition to being the most powerful hero seen on the big screen, Marvel Studios boss Kevin Feige also notes that the movie does not contain a normal origin story. Danvers will have her powers when the movie begins and will be digging through a hazy memory to figure out what happened to her. She will have to learn to properly harness her powers in order to get the most out of them.
