Could a Nick Fury action figure provide some Captain Marvel spoilers? Some pictures of the Marvel Legends Fury figure from Hasbro have started to raise some questions online, reigniting old speculation about the character that started when it was first announced that he was in the movie. Obviously, some details about any movie with merchandise will eventually leak out because the different items shift hands so many times, resulting in unintentional leaks. However, this new leak has some Marvel Cinematic Universe fans wondering if it's a production error or a true spoiler.

The Marvel Legends Nick Fury action figure from Captain Marvel has green eyes, which has led to many believing that he will be a Skrull for at least one part of the movie. The figure clearly has green pupils, which is different from the Fury that we have come to know over the years. Fury could easily be impersonated by a Skrull in the movie, especially since Ben Mendelsohn is portraying Talos, a Skrull leader who is posing as Fury's S.H.I.E.L.D. boss in human form.

This could be what the Marvel Legends Captain Marvel action figure is referring to, but it seems odd that they would make a figure like that unless Samuel L. Jackson is playing a Skrull impersonating Nick Fury for a decent portion of the movie. Obviously, we don't know what the deal is yet, but it does seem kind of weird. It has also been theorized that it could have been a mistake in the production process, which is more than likely due to budget cuts while mass producing the figure.

If Nick Fury is impersonated by a Skrull in Captain Marvel, it wouldn't be the first time that a toy release has leaked out some pretty important character information about the upcoming movie. Just recently, it was revealed that Jude Law is playing Yon-Rogg thanks to two new pieces of merchandise for the movie, although the official Disney website had him labeled as Mar-Vell. It has created quite a bit of confusion, but it seems that one hand doesn't know what the other is doing behind-the-scenes between Marvel Studios and Disney.

One of the other more outlandish fan theories floating around is that Nick Fury has been a Skrull this whole time, with more than one theory using the scene in Winter Soldier where the character is shot as a reference. But, that would lead to a pretty weird situation for Marvel Studios moving forward. For now, it looks like we might be looking at a possible Fury Skrull impersonator or a pretty bad mess up during the production for the Marvel Legends action figure. It should be noted that the rest of the character action figure eyes look fine when compared to the Nick Fury figure.
