2018 is almost over, and 2019 has some big movies on the Horizon. Marvel is releasing three new adventures over the next twelve months. And it all starts with the most powerful superHERo in the entire galaxy. Disney has released a brand new TV spot for Captain Marvel, and it comes on strong as our best look at this epic undertaking yet.

Marvel Studios and Disney released this thirty-second preview last night, which surely got some folks off the couch and cheering after a long day of festivities. There are a few new select moments of footage never-before-seen by human eyes, though most of the sneak peek is culled from the two previously released trailers.

Captain Marvel follows the exciting on-screen adventures of Carol Danvers, played by Brie Larson, who simply doesn't get enough credit for her amazing guest turn on FX's long gone sitcom The League. Captain Marvel bleeds green blood, a social justice hero and one of the most powerful forces anywhere in the universe.

Danvers becomes the key to winning a massive full-scale war, which has Earth caught in the middle of two different alien races fighting for control of the galaxy. The movie takes place in the year 1995, and will show off a never-before-seen period in the immense history of the MCU. It will be full of nostalgic nods to the decade. It will also help set up the storyline in Marvel's second big release for 2019, Avengers: Endgame. It is expected that Carol Danvers will have a major hand in defeating Thanos in that movie, restoring the universe and bringing back all the decimated heroes.

Oscar winning actress Brie Larson is joined by an all-star cast in Captain Marvel. Joining by her side are Samuel L. Jackson, Ben Mendelsohn, Lashana Lynch, Gemma Chan, Algenis Perez Soto, Rune Temte, McKenna Grace, with Annette Bening, and Jude Law. Reprising their roles from Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy are Djimon Hounsou and Lee Pace, and returning once again to a Marvel Studios film will be Clark Gregg as Agent Phil Coulson. Both Fury and Coulson will be de-aged throughout the entire movie. And Nick will even lose his eye, offering fans an origin for the Fury we all know and love in the current MCU timeline.

Marvel Studios' Captain Marvel is directed by the writing/directing team of Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck, who directed the fan-favorites Mississippi Grind and Half Nelson. Bringing the screenplay to life is the incredible team of Meg LeFauve (Inside Out), Nicole Perlman (Guardians of the Galaxy), Geneva Robertson-Dworet (Tomb Raider), Liz Flahive & Carly Mensch (Glow) and Anna Boden & Ryan Fleck. Kevin Feige is the producer of Marvel Studios' Captain Marvel. Louis D'Esposito, Victoria Alonso, Jonathan Schwartz, Patty Whitcher and Stan Lee are executive producers, with Lars Winther serving as co-producer/first assistant director and David Grant serving as co-producer.

Captain Marvel will soar into theaters starting  March 8, 2019. You can check out the latest sneak peek direct from Marvel Entertainment. Hang tight, 2019 is going to be one wild ride at the cinema.
