An Education's Carey Mulligan and Breaking Bad's Bryan Cranston are in negotiations for Universal's action thriller Drive, starring Ryan Gosling, according to Risky Business.

Nicolas Winding Refn is directing the adaptation of the James Sallis novel about a nameless Hollywood stuntman (Ryan Gosling) who moonlights as a freelance getaway driver during robberies. When a bank heist goes wrong, he ends up on the run with a contract on his head and an ex-con's girlfriend (Carey Mulligan) in his car.

Hossein Amini wrote the adapted screenplay.

Production begins in Los Angeles next month.
