According to Variety, Paramount and MTV Films have tapped Carol Doyle to pen the screenplay for the untitled Usher project.

Broadway director George C. Wolfe has been attached to direct the project, centering on performances and original music by the singer.

Will Packer is producing, with Usher and Rob Hardy as exec producers.
