Mission: Impossible 3: According to The Hollywood Reporter, Carrie-Anne Moss has signed on to Mission: Impossible 3 for Cruise Wagner Prods. and Paramount Pictures. Moss will take a leading role in the sequel, which will see Tom Cruise reprise his role as secret agent Ethan Hunt.

Emmanuelle Beart and Thandie Newton played the female leads in 1996's Mission: Impossible and 2000's sequel M:I-2, respectively.

Aiming for an August start date, C/W Prods. has recently been scouting locations in Ghana and Berlin.

Moss is in production on an untitled Arie Posin feature about a disaffected teenager starring Jamie Bell (Billy Elliot). That project is shooting in Valencia, Calif. Moss is repped by WMA, manager Elizabeth Hodgson and attorney Robert Lang.
