Cartoon Network has made a deal with Grigon Entertainment to fund and self-publish a multiplayer online game featuring its characters from Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends and Ben 10.

The cable channel, owned by Time Warner, will distribute the game itself in the U.S. via the web, though it may partner with other publishers in international markets, says Variety. Players will pay a monthly subscription; most likely, the channel will produce new content on a regular basis.

Grigon has already begun work on the game; a 2008 release has been scheduled.
