According to The Hollywood Reporter, Catherine Hardwicke is going classical for Columbia Pictures. The Lords of Dogtown helmer is reteaming with the studio on Vivaldi, a feature about Italian composer Antonio Vivaldi. Brian Grazer will produce through his Imagine Entertainment banner.

Kevin Lund and TJ Scott are in negotiations to pen the project, which revolves around the forbidden romance between the young composer, who was a priest, and his muse, which inspired his masterpiece "The Four Seasons." It remains unclear if this will be Hardwicke's next project.

Hardwicke also is signed on to direct Burden, starring Aaron Eckhart, for Michael London and Paramount Pictures. Her credits include thirteen, starring Holly Hunter, Evan Rachel Wood and Nikki Reed. Lund and Scott's credits include the TV series "Black Hole High" and the thriller Blacktop, which Scott also directed.
