CBS is teaming up with three members of the Jackson family for Pop Dynasty.

Variety describes it as an American Idol-style competition designed to find a new superstar crooner clan. At least eight episodes of the show will be shot; Jermaine Jackson is one of the principal partners in the project and will serve as a judge, along with Tito and LaToya.

Also aboard: longtime collaborators Jamie Foxx, Marcus King and Greg Shelton, along with Triage Entertainment's Stu Schreiberg. Specific titles are still being hammered out, but Halima Rashid and Steve Kroopnick are also among the principals attached. The show is expected to include the standard performance elements, as families try to demonstrate why they're the next Jacksons, Carpenters or Hanson.
