CBS has picked up a new series concept from Ashton Kutcher's Katalyst Prods. and the Schiff Co. based on the blog and Twitter feed Dear Girls Above Me, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The network also picked up a medical drama from Rescue Me producers Denis Leary and Jim Serpico.

Dear Girls Above Me is written by a guy who's driven to distraction by the ditzy roommates living in the condo above him. The entries often derive humor from our unnamed protagonist's reactions and not just the quotes.

Dear Girls Above Me has Ashton Kutcher, Jason Goldberg and David Schiff as executive producers. Writers on the project are Charlie McDowell and Justin Lader.

The second project is about three doctors who went to medical school together who return to their alma mater to work at the university hospital. Elle Johnson is writing and executive producing, along with Denis Leary and Jim Serpico, at CBS TV Studios.
