The Surfrider Foundation will be kicking off a summer-long celebration of their 20th Anniversary this Thursday evening (June 17) with a Gala and a Sotheby's Surfboard Auction. Musicians Jack Johnson and Perry Farrell (formerly of Jane's Addiction) will be on hand accepting the first ever Keeper of the Coast Award. Among the other celebrity guests will be: Kip Pardue (“Driven), Kelly Hu (“X-Men” and "The Scorpion King"), Gregory Harrison, Chris Pontius (“Jackass”) and Tony Hawk (pro skater). Peter DiStefano (formerly of Porno For Pyros), world champion surfer, Tom Curren, DJ Ethan Browne and a few other surprise guests will be providing the musical entertainment for the evening!

The public is invited to attend and tickets are $100/person. The gala will take place at Sony Pictures Studios (10202 W. Washington Blvd., Culver City, CA 90232). Light food and open bar are included.

The Surfrider Foundation invites the public to join host Shaun Tomson, as they auction off a one-of-a-kind collection of surfboards – each one hand-shaped by a surfing icon, replicating the design that made his mark on the sport. Legendary shapers include Dale Velzy, George Downing, Gerry Lopez, Greg Noll, Hobie Alter, Matt Kivlin, Robert August and more.
