After conquering the box office once again with his action-thriller San Andreas, Dwayne Johnson has started production on his next project, the action-comedy Central Intelligence, which is set for release on July 17, 2016. Earlier today, the actor sent out the first photo of his character Bob, who used to be a bullied loser in high school, and is now a highly-trained secret agent. He connects with a former classmate, a high school sports hero, on Facebook, and brings him into the world of international espionage for his latest mission. Here's what Dwayne Johnson had to say about Bob on his Instagram page

"A blast crafting and creating this dude... The inspiration behind this character "Bob" has always been Tom Hanks in Big with an added twist. He's a grown man who's extremely childlike and views the world thru exuberant and enthusiastic teenage eyes... Loves to wear his favorite Public Enemy shirt, cargo pants and sneakers to work.. and rocks a fanny pack which holds his Bruce Lee quotes and a condom (he's always prepared). The "added twist" is Bob has an extremely high IQ and is one of the most lethal men on the planet as a C.I.A. contract killer. Oh the most important character trait.. He hates bullies. Can't wait for y'all to meet "Bob". #FightThePower #BeWaterMyFriend #FannyPackYetDeadly Central Intelligence. SUMMER 2016."

The supporting cast includes Amy Ryan as another CIA agent tasked with bringing Bob in, along with Danielle Nicolet. Rawson Marshall Thurber (Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story, We're the Millers) directs from a screenplay originally written by Ike Barinholtz and David Stassen, with Sean Anders, John Morris and Rawson Marshall Thurber providing subsequent rewrites. Check out the first photo from Central Intelligence below, and stay tuned for more as production continues.
