The upcoming third season of Superman & Lois will introduce a new threat for the Man of Steel, with Chad Coleman (The Orville, The Walking Dead) coming into the series as the villain. It was previously reported that he'd be making his debut in the series in season 3, though details on his character have not yet been revealed. Season 2 of the CW series teased the imminent arrival of Bruno "Ugly" Mannheim, leading to rumors that this will be who Coleman plays.

In any case, Coleman couldn't be more thrilled to step into this mystery role. In a new interview with Horror Geek Life, he confirmed the reports of his casting, noting that he's "incredibly excited" about this particular role. He describes how his character is different from any other that's been portrayed by the veteran actor. Coleman also goes on to praise his fellow cast members along with the team behind Superman & Lois, teasing some quality episodes in store for fans with the upcoming third season.

"I have this hat on for Superman & Lois, which I’m incredibly excited about. This role encompasses everything I’ve ever done, and as superficial as it sounds, he’s the richest and most powerful dude I’ve ever played. It’s an amazing cast and showrunners. I mean, this is Greg Berlanti productions giving me a plateful of delicious food. I had done Arrow with him and also All American, so for him to serve this up, man, I’m excited."
