It was just yesterday that we shared Parks and Recreation and Legion star Aubrey Plaza's wild "audition" for Catwoman in Matt Reeve's upcoming The Batman by licking Stephen Colbert on The Late Show. And today we already have yet another fun Aubrey Plaza story for you guys to check out. As many of you know, MTV hosted the MTV Movie and TV Awards recently, and today someone pointed out that during the ceremony, Plaza slapped on a Chucky mask from her upcoming remake of Child's Play Remake. And no one else - including David Spade and Dan Levy - seemed to notice.

Now I'm not going to sit here today and start naming names, but someone I know very well says that she's not a fan of Aubrey Plaza as new Karen Barclay in the upcoming Child's Play remake. This unnamed girl I know says Plaza doesn't look old enough to be a mother. Side note: this girl is younger than Plaza and has two kids. True story. But all that personal business aside, I think Plaza is excellent and will not only be a joy to watch in the new Chucky movie this Friday but in any motion picture in general.

For those of you that aren't in the know, Plaza stars in Orion and director Lars Klevberg's upcoming remake of Tom Holland and Don Mancini's Child's Play as Karen Barclay. Karen is a mother who gives her son, Andy Barclay (played by Lights Out actor Gabriel Bateman) a toy doll for his birthday, unaware of its more sinister nature. This evil doll is of course none other than the infamous Chucky, now played by Corvette Summer and Village of the Damned actor Mark Hamill. Joining Hamill, Bateman, and Plaza in the upcoming remake is Atlanta and Godzilla vs. Kong actor Brian Tyree Henry as Detective Mike Norris, a role played by The Princess Bride and Fright Night actor Chris Sarandon in the original movie.

Other cast includes Tim Matheson as Henry Kaslan, founder and CEO of Kaslan Corp, the company that manufactures the Buddi dolls; David Lewis as Shane, Karen's fiancé who is abusive to Andy; and Trent Redekop as Gabe, a sex-offender who is a Kaslan Corp employee. On top of that, Nicole Anthony plays Detective Willis, Norris' partner; and Carlease Burke co-stars as Doreen Norris, Norris' mother. This new film will also be pulling a Stranger Things and giving new Andy a ragtag group of fellow kids to join the party. This semi-Losers Club will be played by Marlon Kazadi, Ty Consiglio, Beatrice Kitsos, and Anantjot S. Aneja.

Polaroid director Lars Klevberg is at the helm of this new Child's Play movie from a screenplay written by Tyler Burton Smith based on the original film written by Don Mancini. David Katzenberg and Seth Grahame-Smith are producing this new movie which features a score by Bear McCreary, cinematography by Brendan Uegama, and editing by Tom Elkins. Orion Pictures, Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Pictures, BRON Creative, and KatzSmith Productions are the production companies behind this remake which United Artists Releasing will distribute into a theater near you this Friday, June 21, 2019.
