Let it be known right here and now that this story contains quite a few spoilers for Netflix's Chilling Adventures of Sabrina. So if you're not caught up with the series, you might want to turn away in parts. First, let's get into the juiciest bit. Creator-showrunner Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa revealed during the Television Critics Association press tour that, yes, in the upcoming third season, Sabrina will, in fact, be heading to Hell!

Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa revealed this.

"I think it's safe to say that we are going to Hell, yes. We're going to Hell. It's very fun. It's very fun. It's dangerous, but it's really fun."

Nice! From there, Aguirre-Sacasa talked a bit about who Sabrina will end up with this season. Will it be her former love Harvey Kinkle (played by Ross Lynch), or her new man, Nicholas "Nick" Scratch (played by Gavin Leatherwood)?

Aguirre-Sacasa teases.

"It's funny, I love both those guys. I love Gavin, and I love Ross. I think probably, I ship both couples. I have a soft spot for Harvey because he's Sabrina's longtime boyfriend in the comic books, but I cannot deny that Sabrina and Nick are a great, potent match. So yes, there is a reason to hope for Harvey and Sabrina shippers. But Sabrina and Nick are pretty undeniable."

Right on. So now we know that season three will take us to Hell and (more than likely) Sabrina will be "shipping" with Leatherwood's Nick. Great! So all of those tasty teases out of the way, just when the (no pun intended) hell can we expect to see this new season hit Netflix? Well, Aguirre-Sacasa isn't sure yet, admitting this.

"I don't actually know. I don't think we'd be ready for Halloween. I have no idea, not a clue. We are writing Episode 8; we are starting to shoot Episode 6, so we're nearing the halfway mark. And that's been going great. I'm really proud of those episodes, they're really, really fun."

And finally, because this question seems to come up each and every single time Aguirre-Sacasa sits down for an interview, will his dark and gritty reboot of Sabrina the Teenage Witch ever cross over with his hit CW series Riverdale?

Aguirre-Sacasa says this.

"Listen, I'm so open for it, and it feels like we have a conversation about it all the time. I still would love for it to happen."

Us too! Now granted I'm not up to date on my Riverdale - my fiance doesn't care for it much so I got her to start re-watching Breaking Bad at the moment - but I'd surely do a quick binge-watch if I knew there was a crossover coming with Netflix's Chilling Adventures of Sabrina. But maybe that's just me. But I highly doubt that. Anyhow, even though we still don't know for sure just when the third season of Netflix's Chilling Adventures of Sabrina will be unleashed onto the streaming platform, we will make sure to keep up to date on all things Sabrina and pass along word as soon as we hear it. In the meantime, this update comes to us from The Wrap.
