Chloe Moretz is in discussions to star in Dark Places. Back in February, we reported that Charlize Theron replaced Amy Adams in this adaptation of Gillian Flynn's novel.

The story centers on a woman (Charlize Theron) who, 25 years prior, survived the brutal massacre of her entire family, testifying in court that her brother was the killer. She is forced to reopen old wounds when a secret organization known as The Kill Club believe the brother is actually innocent, and set out to prove it. Chloe Moretz will portray Diondra, if a deal is finalized.

Gilles Paquet-Brenner is directing from his own adapted screenplay, with Stéphane Marsil producing. Exclusive Media Group is fully financing and producing alongside Charlize Theron's Denver and Delilah production company. It isn't known when production will begin.

Chloe Moretz will next be seen in the superhero sequel Kick-Ass 2 and the horror remake Carrie.
