Miles Teller and Tess Haubrich fall in love in the new clip from Spiderhead. Netflix premiered the exclusive footage today at Geeked Week. In the clip, Chris Hemsworth oversees an experiment involving Teller and Haubrich, who participate in the drug-induced project. The two inmates have no relation to each other but quickly fall in love after Hemsworth administers a drug known as 'N-40'. The pair promptly change their attitudes toward one another, culminating in a passionate kiss towards the end of the video. The clip from Netflix can be found below.

Hemsworth, paired with Mark Paguio in the scene, seems delighted with the success of the N-40 drug, although there must be specific side effects with the love potion that we have yet to see. The official synopsis for the film reads:

Set in the near future, when convicts are offered the chance to volunteer as medical subjects in hopes of shortening their sentences. When one prisoner finds himself the test patient for a new pharmaceutical capable of generating feelings of love, he begins questioning the reality of his emotions and sets out to discover the truth.

It seems that Spiderhead will play on the idea of artificial emotions and dissect the trouble that would come along with them. In an interview with Deadline last month, director Joseph Kosinski spoke about his excitement about his latest film.

"It's a genre-spanning film that offered a unique directorial challenge both in the very contained nature of the story/world but also the manic performances required from the actors."

Emotions will be running high in Spiderhead, as we've already seen two people who were indifferent to each other quickly switch into an irresistible attraction in mere seconds.

Spiderhead
Netflix

Teller and Kosinski recently worked on Top Gun: Maverick, and the pair enjoyed it enough to reunite for Spiderhead. This is the third film for the director and actor, who also worked with one another on the 2017 film, Only the Brave. Rounding out the cast for Spiderhead are Charles Parnell (Top Gun: Maverick), Jurnee Smollett (Birds of Prey), Nathan Jones (Mad Max), and BeBe Bettencourt (The Dry).

The movie is based on a short story by George Saunders titled, Escape From Spiderhead. Spiderhead is slated to arrive on Netflix next month, June 17th.
