According to Variety, Chris Morgan, who penned Universal's upcoming tentpole "Fast and Furious: Tokyo Drift," has been tapped by the studio to adapt comicbook The Psycho.
The series, created by Dan Bereton and James Hudnall, is about a world where individuals attain superpowers by taking an unpredictable and potentially lethal drug. Protag is a rogue CIA agent who risks insanity and becomes a Psycho himself in order to rescue his g.f. and expose a political conspiracy.
Morgan has had several rewrite assignments and received credit on Cellular, but his big break was the scripting assignment for the third installment of "Fast and Furious." Japan-set sequel, a near-complete break from the first two films, is set for release June 16.
